Day 2 in Kuala Lumpur was all about walking, malls, and accidentally turning into a full-time window shopper. I didn’t plan much, but the city somehow stitched the whole day together for me 💛.

First Stop: Plaza Low Yat💾
I started my morning in Bukit Bintang and wandered over to Plaza Low Yat, KL’s famous electronics mall just a short walk from my hotel. The streets were already humming with traffic and food smells, and I could see the KL Tower peeking out between the buildings as I got closer.

Inside, Plaza Low Yat is floor after floor of electronics phones, laptops, cameras, accessories, and brands I recognised from all over the world. It’s a little overwhelming in the best way, like stepping into a giant tech playground.

I browsed more than I bought, but honestly, even if you don’t plan to pick anything up, it’s worth visiting just to wander around and people-watch.
The Walk to Suria KLCC 🚶
From Bukit Bintang, I decided to walk to Suria KLCC instead of taking a Grab. The route takes you through Pavilion KL, which is connected to KLCC by an elevated walkway, so it’s an easy, shaded 20-minute stroll.
On the way, I passed Pavilion’s iconic entrance with its dramatic fountain and a ring of luxury brands like Coach and Dior. It’s one of those places where everyone seems to pause, snap a photo, and then keep moving.

I loved how the city shifted around me as I walked one moment busy streets, the next sleek walkways, with the KL Tower and then the Petronas Twin Towers gradually coming into view.
Under the Petronas Twin Towers🗼
Suria KLCC sits right beneath the Petronas Twin Towers, and stepping out in front of them for the first time felt surreal. I found myself just standing there, neck craned all the way back, trying to take in how tall and elegant they are.

I took the obligatory photos, of course, but I also just let myself be still for a moment and soak it all in. Some places really do live up to the hype.
Lunch at Sushiro 🍣
Once I’d had my fill of staring up at the towers, I headed inside Suria KLCC for lunch at Sushiro, my favourite sushi chain. It’s one of those conveyor belt spots where plates glide past you in colourful rows, and you have to stop yourself from grabbing everything.

The sushi was fresh, affordable, and ridiculously good honestly some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, and that’s saying a lot. I left feeling happily full and already plotting my next Sushiro visit.

Shopping at Suria KLCC 🛒
After lunch, I wandered around Suria KLCC, which is packed with big name stores and polished interiors. It’s the kind of mall where you can easily lose track of time, and I definitely did.
I stopped by Uniqlo, the Japanese brand I always gravitate towards, and picked up a few clothing pieces. Good quality, simple designs, and reasonable prices if you like practical travel clothes, I highly recommend it.

A Break at KLCC Park 🌿
With a small shopping bag in hand and slightly sore feet, I headed outside to KLCC Park, the big green space right next to the towers. Locals were jogging, kids were playing, and people were just sitting by the water, chatting and relaxing.

I found a spot by the lake and just sat there, watching the city skyline reflect in the still water. It was such a peaceful contrast to the busy malls and streets from earlier.

After a while, my feet forgave me and I felt ready to wander again.
Pavilion at Night ✨
As evening settled in, I walked the 20 minutes back from Suria KLCC to Pavilion. The same route felt completely different at night busier streets, brighter lights, and a kind of electric energy in the air.

Pavilion’s entrance looked even more glamorous after dark, the fountain glowing and the building shining like a movie set. I also noticed its Japanese restaurant section, which is perfect if you love Japanese food and products as much as I do.

By the time I made it back to my hotel, my feet were tired but my heart was so full. Day 2 in KL showed me how much there is to discover here just by walking, and I can’t wait to see what the next days bring 💫.
