Welcome to Coco’s World! Meet Our Adorable Family Dog
Coco isn’t just a dog to me. In fact, I love her like my own daughter. She’s not a pet she’s family. So today, I finally want to introduce her to all of you.
Everyone who visits my house asks the same question: “What breed is Coco?” Honestly, I don’t actually know! So if any reader recognizes the breed, please comment and let me know 😄
What Does Coco Look Like?
Coco is a mixed breed with no papers. Still, I think she’s naturally beautiful in her own way. For example, she has long, thick fur in a mix of black and white. Meanwhile, her ears droop softly, and her round eyes are always alert. Right now, she weighs about 16 kilograms. In other words, she’s not too small and not too big just the perfect size to curl up next to me on the couch. Yes, she still thinks she’s a lap dog.
Curious what mixed breed dogs might be made of? For instance, the American Kennel Club’s guide to mixed breeds is a fun read on how genetics shape dogs like her.

How Coco Became Part of Our Family
Don’t let her size fool you. Actually, she takes her job as house guardian very seriously. For example, rats, cats, and unfamiliar animals get chased off immediately, no exceptions. Likewise, strangers get the same treatment. Interestingly, no matter how deeply she’s sleeping, one unusual sound changes everything. Whether it’s a motorbike, an animal, or unfamiliar footsteps, she springs up like she has a built-in alarm system.
I never planned on taking in a dog. But the moment I saw those tiny eyes, something in me just knew. Right then, I realized this little one was going to be my daughter. Since that day, Coco has lived with me and my dad. All in all, it’s been almost 4 years of pure love and chaos ever since.

Where Did the Name “Coco” Come From?
I named her “Coco” for two reasons. First, her fur color reminds me of chocolate-cream swirls, mixing black and white. Second, she was so playful and full of energy as a puppy. Therefore, “Coco” was simply the only name that made sense.
Coco’s Personality: Tiny Body, Huge Heart
Don’t let her size fool you. Actually, she takes her job as house guardian very seriously. For example, rats, cats, and unfamiliar animals get chased off immediately, no exceptions. Likewise, strangers get the same treatment. Interestingly, no matter how deeply she’s sleeping, one unusual sound changes everything. Whether it’s a motorbike, an animal, or unfamiliar footsteps, she springs up like she has a built-in alarm system.
Besides that, she’s also surprisingly respectful of our things. For instance, tell her once, “this isn’t a toy,” and she genuinely won’t touch it again. On the other hand, with people she loves, Coco is a completely different dog. As soon as she sees me or my dad walk through the door, she lights up with pure joy. Then, her tail wags like crazy. However, with strangers, please don’t reach out to pet her without an introduction first, since she takes her guard duty personally.

What Coco Loves Most
Coco eats the most when she’s happiest, especially right after I get home. But nothing beats her favorite thing in the world: getting petted and gently massaged by me. In fact, she leans into it with her eyes half-closed, completely melting, as if she’s saying “don’t stop.”
So what’s her funniest habit? It’s what I call the “no take-backs rule.” For example, hand her anything a toy, a slipper, anything and Coco snatches it up immediately. Then, she guards it like treasure and refuses to ever give it back. Overall, it’s a habit that keeps our house full of laughter every single day.

Conclusion
Coco may not be a purebred dog with papers or a fancy pedigree. Still, to me, she’s family as close to a daughter as a dog can be. She guards our home fiercely, and she loves fiercely too. Above all, she fills our house with laughter every single day. This is just the first of many stories I’ll be sharing about Coco here on annakh.com. So stay tuned for more of her daily life, her funny habits, and everything else that makes her one of a kind. 🐾
