Yakiniku Like Toul Kork: Affordable Japanese BBQ at TK Avenue
I finally tried ” Yakiniku Like ” in Toul Kork at TK Avenue, and I have to tell you about it. When I first walked up, the restaurant looked a bit fancy to me. The black storefront, the glowing cow signs and the modern wood interior made me think the bill would be big. I was wrong. The prices are very reasonable, and you can eat here starting from about $5.

What Is “Yakiniku Like” Toul Kork?
Yakiniku Like is a Japanese BBQ chain with a simple idea. Tasty, quick and value for money. You see those three words on the wall right at the entrance. After eating there, I can say they keep that promise.
You grill your own meat at the table. Each set comes with rice, soup, and either kimchi or salad. You can also add side dishes if you want something extra.

You can find it inside TK Avenue in Toul Kork. The area is easy to reach, and it is a good spot if you live nearby or want to try something new in this part of Phnom Penh.
Here are the quick details:

Free parking is a big win for me. Anyone who drives around Phnom Penh knows how stressful it can be to find a spot.

The menu has a set meal section and an a la carte section. Everything shows the price in riel and in US dollars, which makes it easy to plan. Remember that VAT 10% gets added to the bill.

What I Ordered at “Yakiniku Like”
I went with a beef set. It came with a plate of marinated beef and pork, a bowl of white rice, a fresh salad with cucumber, and a bowl of seaweed soup. I also had a plate of sliced beef tongue, and I loved it.
The meat looked fresh and had nice marbling. Once it hit the grill, the smell was amazing. The beef was soft and full of flavor. I would happily order it again.

The Sauces Are a Fun Part
Every table has its own sauce station, and I really enjoyed it. You get bottles of Like Original BBQ Sauce, Garlic Sauce, Sea Salt Sauce and Spicy Miso Sauce. There are also small jars of chili flakes and other toppings.
My tip is to try a little of each one. The garlic sauce goes well with beef, and the spicy miso gives the meat a stronger kick. You can mix and match until you find your favorite.

Seating: Great for Solo Diners
Here is something I really like. Yakiniku Like has single seats at the counter, so you can come alone and feel comfortable. Eating by yourself can feel awkward at some restaurants, but not here. Each seat has its own grill, sauces and menu.
They also have tables for two or three people and bigger tables for groups. So it works for a solo lunch, a date, or a meal with friends and family.

My Honest “Yakiniku Like” Review
Here is how I would rate my visit:
- Food: 5 out of 5
- Service: 5 out of 5
- Atmosphere: 5 out of 5
The staff were friendly and quick. The restaurant was clean and bright, and the whole place felt relaxed. I did not feel rushed at all.
The only thing to keep in mind is that the meat portions in the cheaper sets are small. If you are very hungry, order the 200g size or add a side dish. That still keeps the price low.
Is “Yakiniku Like” Toul Kork Worth It?
Yes, one hundred percent. You get good quality Japanese BBQ, a fun grilling experience, free parking and a comfortable seat, all for a fair price. It looks expensive from the outside, but your wallet will be fine.
I recommend it to students, office workers, couples, families and anyone who wants to eat alone without feeling strange. If you live in Toul Kork or visit TK Avenue often, add this place to your list.
