If you love Vietnamese food like I do, finding authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur is surprisingly easy! For instance, during my recent trip to Malaysia, I went on a pho-hunting adventure across the city. As a result, I tried four different spots to see which ones are truly worth visiting. Here is my honest review of each location!

To begin with, Okm Recipe Cafe is an authentic Vietnamese food stall located inside the Plaza Low Yat food court.
Although the pho here is fairly basic and not spicy, the portion size is remarkably big and the price is very reasonable. Furthermore, the dish comes served with plenty of fresh herbs and lime. Therefore, if you are shopping for gadgets at Plaza Low Yat and need a budget-friendly lunch, this spot is a great choice!

Verdict: The pho here is acceptable in taste not spicy, but the portion is big and the price is very reasonable. A good budget option if you’re shopping at Plaza Low Yat!
2.Pho Vietz: Top-Rated Vietnamese Restaurant (Mid Valley Mall)
Next on the list is Pho Vietz at Mid Valley Mall. Even though it is located a bit further out, this was easily my absolute favorite spot! In fact, as soon as you approach the restaurant, it smells incredible from the outside.
Regarding the food, the beef pho features a rich, delicious broth alongside tender meat and crisp, fresh vegetables. In addition, the serving size is huge. Because the portions are so generous, one bowl can easily be shared between two light eaters. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try! βββββ

Verdict: This was my favourite! The pho is really delicious the taste is rich, the beef is fresh and tender, and the vegetables are fresh too. The portion is very big. If you eat less like me, one bowl can actually be shared between two people! Highly recommended. βββββ
3. Vinh City Vietnamese Cuisine: Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang
Another great option among Vietnamese restaurants in Bukit Bintang is Vinh City Vietnamese Cuisine, located right inside Sungei Wang Plaza.
In terms of taste, this spot is not bad at all! Both the beef and the noodles are full of flavor, making for a warm, comforting meal. Additionally, the portion size is just right for one person, and the pricing is very reasonable. Consequently, it is definitely worth a visit while you are exploring Sungei Wang! π

Verdict: Not bad at all! Both the meat and the pho are delicious. The bowl size is just enough for one person and the price is acceptable. Worth a visit if you’re exploring Sungei Wang! π
4. Sao Nam: Fine Vietnamese Dining Near Bukit Bintang (Jalan Alor)
Finally, for a more upscale option compared to other Vietnamese restaurants Bukit Bintang has to offer, head near Jalan Alor to visit Sao Nam.
While this is the most expensive of the four restaurants, it is well worth the extra cost for the atmosphere alone. For example, the charming interior is lit with beautiful star lanterns that create a lovely evening mood. Moreover, the service is exceptionally attentive. Besides their solid beef pho, they also serve a light and fresh Vietnamese salad topped with caramelized onions and sesame seeds. Thus, it makes a fantastic choice for a sit down dinner! π



π Location: Tengkat Tong Shin Road, near Jalan Alor.
Verdict: This is the most expensive of the four, but worth it for the experience. The pho is acceptable, the atmosphere is lovely, and most importantly the service is really good. I had pho with beef and found everything to be very good. A great choice for a sit-down dinner! π
