If you love Vietnamese food like I do, you’ll be happy to know that Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur has some great Vietnamese restaurants that are not hard to find at all! During my Malaysia trip, I went on a little pho adventure and tried 4 different spots. Here’s my honest review of each one!
- 1. Okm Recipe Cafe : Plaza Low Yat Food Court
- 2. Pho Vietz : Mid Valley Mall
- 3. Vinh City Vietnamese Cuisine : Sungei Wang Plaza
- 4. Sao Nam : Near Jalan Alor
- Final Thoughts 🍜
1. Okm Recipe Cafe : Plaza Low Yat Food Court

📍 Location: Food Court, Plaza Low Yat, Bukit Bintang
Verdict: The pho here is acceptable in taste not spicy, but the portion is big and the price is very reasonable. A good budget option if you’re shopping at Plaza Low Yat!
2. Pho Vietz : Mid Valley Mall

📍 Location: Mid Valley Mall, KL
Verdict: This was my favourite! The pho is really delicious the taste is rich, the beef is fresh and tender, and the vegetables are fresh too. The portion is very big. If you eat less like me, one bowl can actually be shared between two people! Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
3. Vinh City Vietnamese Cuisine : Sungei Wang Plaza

📍 Location: Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang
Verdict: Not bad at all! Both the meat and the pho are delicious. The bowl size is just enough for one person and the price is acceptable. Worth a visit if you’re exploring Sungei Wang! 😊
4. Sao Nam : Near Jalan Alor

📍 Location: Tengkat Tong Shin Road, near Jalan Alor.
Verdict: This is the most expensive of the four, but worth it for the experience. The pho is acceptable, the atmosphere is lovely, and most importantly the service is really good. I had pho with beef and found everything to be very good. A great choice for a sit-down dinner! 😊
